Dr. Philip McDonald, CEO and Founder of PrimeTime Radiology, is a board-certified physician in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. A native of Mount Vernon, NY, with Jamaican descent, he has always prioritized Christ as the center of his life, a value instilled by his parents. He earned his M.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine on a full tuition scholarship and completed his Radiology residency at Staten Island University Hospital/Northwell Health.

His Fellowship in Musculoskeletal/Sports Medicine Radiology was at Duke University Medical Center. Specializing in Sports Medicine and Spine Imaging, Dr. McDonald is proficient in MRI, CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound, and Obstetric Ultrasound. Dr. McDonald serves as the Lead Clinical Advisor for the Sports Medicine division of DocPanel.com, offering expert radiological opinions worldwide.

He contracts with various radiology companies and advises professional sports teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB. Known as “Dr X” for his precision in diagnosing athletes’ injuries, he has also been a medical analyst for NBA TV, analyzing injuries of players like Kobe Bryant and Stephen Curry. He is also the creative mind behind the cartoon “Invincibles 4:13” and leads a Christian ministry, Ignite-LA, focusing on community outreach.

Dr. McDonald resides in Los Angeles with his wife, American artist Sheléa Melody McDonald, and enjoys playing basketball in local competitive leagues.
